The
Level 1 License is a learner's license. It places the greatest restrictions
on a teen's driving privileges during the time he or she is beginning
to master the fundamental skills necessary to be a competent and safe
driver. With a Level 1 License, a teen may operate a motor vehicle only
when accompanied by a licensed parent or legal gaurdian or any licensed
driver 21 years of age or older designated by the parents or legal gaurdian.
Requirements:
Must have
a Certificate of Completion for Segment 1
Must have
a certified copy of birth cerificate
Parent
or gaurdian signature required on application
Pass vision
screening required by the Secretary of State
Availability:
Obtain
Level 1 Learners License at a Secretary of State branch office
Restrictions:
May only
drive with licensed parent or gaurdian or designated adult age 21 or
older
Parent
or gaurdian or designated adult must sit in front seat
If driving
with a designated adult, driver should carry a signed letter of authorization
from parent or gaurdian

Prepare the driving log
and record all supervised driving time
Help your
teen pick up the good habit of always carrying thier drivers license
with them
Begin providing supervised
driving with your teen....Your teen must complete 30 hours of supervised
driving, 2 of which should be night time in order to begin Segment 2
of drivers eductation
